Clean India Mission
Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India launched his national cleanliness campaign called 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan'(Hindi) or 'Clean India Campaign'.
It covers 4041 statutory towns, to clean the streets, infrastructure and roads of the country. This starts from the Valmiki Basti in New Delhi on 2nd October, 2014.
Modi inquired India's 1.25 billion people to join the 'Swachh Bharat Mission' and promote it to everyone.
This is the Campaign that India's biggest ever cleanliness drive. Near3 million government employees and Colleges and School students of India participated in this event.
For this Campaign, Prime Minister, Modi Nominated 9 famous Personalities and more people in a hierarchy. A few participants are Kamal Hassan, Sachin Tendulkar, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra,Baba Ramdev, Mridula Sinha, Shashi Tharoor, The team of TV series - Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Manisha Koirala, Saina Nehwal, Chanda Kochhar, Kapil Sharma. In this Cleanliness Campaign all people are also participating or Joining in.
